Property Owner Journey

From Application to Ownership

Your path to free solar installation in four simple steps.

Step 1

Submit Application

Complete our online form with property details, recent electricity bills, and roof photographs. Our team reviews submissions within 7 days to assess technical feasibility including roof condition, solar potential, and grid connection requirements.

Step 2

Project Listing

Once approved, your project appears on our investor marketplace with projected generation estimates and revenue calculations. Investors browse and fund projects starting from €100. Most projects reach full funding within 2-6 weeks.

Step 3

Professional Installation

When funding completes, our certified installer partners schedule and complete the installation. Average system size is 7kW with Tier-1 equipment including 25-year warranties. You pay nothing upfront.

Step 4

Revenue & Ownership

Start receiving 35% of net electricity revenue monthly (approximately €464/year). After 10 years, you receive full ownership of the system. With 15+ years remaining lifespan, you then keep 100% of all electricity value.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if a solar system underperforms?

+

Our revenue-sharing model means payments adjust with actual generation. If underperformance occurs, both investor returns and property owner shares decrease proportionally. This protects property owners from fixed-payment defaults. We mitigate risk through Tier-1 equipment with 25-year warranties, comprehensive insurance, and conservative generation projections based on bottom 25th percentile weather data.

How is the 8.62% return calculated?

+

Based on a €10,000 system generating €1,367 net annual revenue, investors receive 65% (€862), yielding 8.62% annual return. We use €0.20/kWh for self-consumption value, which is 13-20% below current Spanish retail rates of €0.23-0.25/kWh, providing a safety margin in our projections.

Can I sell my investment before 10 years?

+

The investment period is 10 years with monthly distributions throughout. We plan to develop a secondary marketplace feature allowing investors to transfer their positions to other platform users, though this feature depends on regulatory approval and platform development timelines.

What regions are eligible for installation?

+

Initially, we focus on Castilla y LeΓ³n, Extremadura, and Castilla-La Mancha. These regions offer Spain's highest solar irradiance (1,800-2,000 kWh/mΒ²/year) combined with the lowest current adoption rates. We plan to expand to additional regions as the platform scales.

Is SolarShare regulated?

+

SolarShare will operate under Spanish Law 5/2015 on Promotion of Entrepreneurial Financing and EU Regulation 2020/1503 (ECSP). We are pursuing CNMV registration as an Alternative Fixed Income Securities Platform. Investor funds are held in segregated accounts with full regulatory compliance.
